How long have you been with ViewPoint?: 5+ years
Describe yourself in three words: Logical, Focused, Dedicated
If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Mindreading, so I could really know why my opportunities were lost and not won
Over the course of your life, how many cities/towns have you lived in, and which was your favorite?
I have lived in 12 cities and 8 states. As for my favorite, I would say Sudbury, MA, since I’ve essentially lived here since 1976.
What’s the thing you love most about Sudbury?
Sudbury is a quaint small town in the woods. It’s safe, quiet, and picturesque, but provides easy access to the ocean, the City of Boston, and an international airport for flights to anywhere I may wish to go.
Can you share one of your favorite photos taken there? Where were you, and what’s the story behind it?
This is me and my sons at the Grist Mill in Sudbury. It’s on the property of the Wayside Inn, near the Henry Ford estate. We were just hanging out as a family that day, no real occasion, and ended up taking a nice picture.
What drew you to work at ViewPoint?
I was drawn to ViewPoint by Nasser and Bassil and the company culture. Especially in those early years, it was Nasser’s passion for this business and his integrity as an individual. I’ve also been an account manager dealing with government clients for over 20 years and the automation of the permitting process was something I really saw myself getting behind and helping municipalities bring efficiency to their processes.
What job would you be doing if you weren’t working at ViewPoint?
Perhaps a TV news anchor or a baseball pitcher. I played baseball growing up. I also pitched in college and had the pleasure of going the to Division III World Series with my team. I coached my sons’ baseball teams when they were younger too.
What achievement to date, personal or professional, are you the most proud of?
I’m most proud of my two sons, Kyle and Dylan, without question!
If you could be anywhere other than where you are right this minute, where would you be, and why?
On a Hawaiian island scooping gelato for tourists.
What’s the best live show you’ve ever seen?
Live Aid, at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. It was a dual-venue benefit concert on July 13, 1985 held simultaneously at JFK Stadium and Wembley Stadium in London. There were some 30+ different performers in Philadelphia including Bob Dylan, Patti LaBelle, Led Zeppelin, Madonna, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
What are some causes you care about?
Fighting cancer—my Mom is a 3 time survivor— and helping our veterans and wounded warriors—my Dad is ex-marine.
If you could meet one fictional character in real life, who would it be, and why?
Any Pokémon character to understand how they have continued to captivate children for decades.
